Venezia ci ha accolti in una seducente oscurità, illuminata dai riflessi degli antichi palazzi che ondeggiavano pieni di luce sul Canal Grande e dall'atmosfera irrequieta e carica di attese che precede il momento della festa. L'incontro con Francesco, Micci e Susanna, tra i baci e le mille frasi iniziate e quasi mai concluse di quando si cammina in fretta, si è snodato attraverso lo stretto labirinto di calli che separavano il nostro hotel dal Teatro e sono state le prime mute e bellissime maschere del Carnevale ad assistere al nostro  sollievo nel momento in cui, a sorpresa, ci siamo ritrovati nel campo di fronte al Malibran.

Meeting   

"Venice has welcomed us in a seductive obscurity, illuminated by the reflexes of the ancient buildings that rippled full of light on the Canal Grande and from the restless and full of expectations atmosphere that  comes before the moment of the party. We met  Francesco, Micci and Susanna, with kisses and  thousands of  sentences begun but not ended as when you walk in a hurry.  We went along  the narrow labyrinth of calli that were across our hotel and the Theater. When we finally found the square in front of the Malibran, the first Carnival masks saw us glad and happy...  "

"...Nel giro di pochi minuti siamo stati raggiunti da Monika, Norbert, Claude, Christine ed Elizabeth: un bel momento davvero per chi non si vedeva da qualche anno, ma anche per chi non si conosceva ancora e ha avuto l'occasione di sperimentare buffe frasi di saluto nelle varie lingue... Norbert, ridendo, ha tirato fuori anche lo spagnolo ;-).
Il tempo di un panino al volo ed eccoci seduti sulle nostre poltrone. In galleria, dove si trovavano alcuni di noi, spiccava un viso simpatico, niente capelli e sorridenti occhi azzurri, un viso conosciuto, un ospite speciale... sì, proprio lui: Davide Ragazzoni, allegro e cordiale come sempre..."

"...In a few minutes we were reached by Monika, Norbert, Claude, Christine and Elizabeth: a nice encounter indeed for people who had not  seen each other for years, but also for the ones who didn't know each other. It has been the occasion to experiment funny sentences in the various languages... Norbert, laughing, has also spoken in Spanish; -).  
Time for a sandwich and here we are sitting on our armchairs. In the galleria, where some of us were, we met a nice face, with no hair and smiling blue eyes, a known face, a special guest... yes, really him: Davide Ragazzoni, happy and cordial as always...."

"... Finalmente compare. E' un po' frastornato, commosso. Firma autografi, risponde alle battute, saluta con entusiasmo i volti conosciuti e dimostra affetto per ognuno, ma soprattutto per i Branduardi-ans arrivati dalla Francia, dalla Svizzera, dalla Germania... Abbraccia Monika, Claude... gli promette che a settembre sarà a Parigi... E' davvero contento, ma siamo in tanti, lo stanno trascinando via e non c'è tempo per tutti i baci che gli dovrei dare... Allora gliene stampo due, in rappresentanza di tante branduardiane sparse per mezzo mondo e gli regalo un orsacchiotto, non uno qualsiasi, quello con la t-shirt dei B-ans! "E'mio!" dice consegnandolo a Gianluca, il tour manager, altri baci, altri saluti ma è ormai proprio ora di andare. Un motoscafo se lo porta via lungo il canale, non resta che attendere il nuovo giorno e approfittare di un Carnevale davvero straordinario...

Finally Angelo appears. He's a bit tired, moved. He signs autographs, answers the wisecracks, greets with enthusiasm the known faces and shows love for everybody, but above all, for the Branduardi-ans arrived from France, from Switzerland, from Germany... He gives a big hug to Monika, Claude... promises him that in September he will be in Paris... He's really happy, but we are too many, he has to go away  and there is no time for all the kisses that I woluld like to him... Then I kiss him  twice, on behalf of all the branduardian girls and I give him a teddy bear, not a common one, but the one who has the B-ans t-shirt!
 "It's mine! " he says delivering it to Gianluca, the tour manager; other kisses, other goodbyes but it is really time to go. A motorboat takes him away along the canal, now it's time to wait for a new day and take advantage of a very extraordinary Carnival.

10 - 11 Febbraio 2007

Dopo tante ore nel treno siamo arrivati dal nord della Svizzera Norbert ed io, nel albergo ci aspettava già Elisabeth dalla Germania. Poi la serata continuava come ha raccontato Alessandra... bellissimo, indimenticabile. Era un grande piacere rivedere tanti amici e conoscere nuovi fans di Angelo.

After hours in the railway Norbert an me arrived from the north of Switzerland. In the hotel there was already Elisabeth from Germany waiting for us. And from this point on the evening went on as Alessandra wrote... great, unforgettable. It was a pleasure to see so many friends again and to meet new ones
