October 2nd......we had tried to find a meetingplace
near the theatre, a restaurant or bar, but everything seemed closed on a
Sunday. Anne was the first to be at the Capitole, with the French delegation
and Danielle. Stephanie and me were on a boat trip and we were in contact
with sms. They had found a patisserie and were waiting for us. We quickly
changed and took a taxi. We could not find the patisserie so we went to the
theatre. There was already a crowd of waiting people , it was still early.
The others also came to the theatre and it was already great to meet
everybody. Then we saw Angelo coming outside in the hall to smoke. He was
talking to somebody and we were not quite sure if we could disturb him. But
then I startedwalking to him, he saw me and his face was one big happy smile
from ear to ear. He walked to me and what followed was the sweetest hug you
can imagine :-) It was really an embrace between friends who are happy to be
together. And then the others followed. As you can see in Danielle's photo's
Angelo was smiling all the time, he was happy between his faithfull fans,
his friends. The bisschop came to greet him, they seemed to be old friends,
this was clear ! And Angelo introduced the Branduardians as <his friends>.
Angelo looked very good, he had lost a lot of weight and seemed very relaxed
and happy. He said the concert would be completely different than all the
other times, he was feeling like a new person.
And then Angelo had to go inside to mentally prepare himself for the
concert. And time for us to ask about the tickets. I told one of the ladies
that we were a group of 18 friends of Angelo and that there were tickets for
us and a name list. And yes, she found them and handed them to me with the
list. She offered me a chair and so I sat in the middle of the hall with a
very special mission: to make sure everybody in the group would receive
their ticket. In the meantime everybody arrived, everybody was talking to
everybody, seeing faces and voices to just names on internet. Very exciting.
And it was so hot!!! When everyone had arrived we went into the theatre. Our
places were very high on the balcony, very far away from the stage, but we
had a good view.

...We were able to talk longer with
Davide and Michele smiling and very available to us. Then we went to drink a
Belgian beer in a cafe near the Capitole, head, heart and ears filled with the
music of Angelo ..... Some had to leave to their obligations, while we had the
pleasure of sharing the dinner with Patrick and Stephanie, a pleasant and
friendly moment !
The next day was spent visiting this beautiful Flemish city.
I have attached some pictures to my comment: unfortunately those of the concert
are all blurry, but I know others have done very nice.
Thank you very much, Michelangelo, for allowing us to live such a week-end,
friendly greetings to all

.Hello ! I'm just back from Gent ! I'm
too much moved to make long sentences, so it will be a telegraphic report : VIP
Treatment !!! (two loges for the B-ans) - We were able for a long time and
repeatedly to discuss with Angelo (he presented us to the bishop " Here are my
friends! " - he is on form, slimmer, younger, full of energy, magnificent ! - he
said to us that it was very bizarre for him to play in the afternoon and by such
a heat ("I am like Eddy Mercks after Liège-Bastogne-Liège") - He received us in
his changing room after the concert :-))))) - We spent wonderful moments between
BRANDUARDI-ANS.... Complete report, pictures, etc... Anne
Anne handed the scarf after the concert offered by Branduardi-ans, Gianluca. We
were able to quickly meet Angelo in the Backstage, he seems to be very tired. We
hailed from Michelangelo and all the members of the group who could not be there.

But everything once comes to an end, so
also the concert. And now all of us were climbing down the stairs again, waiting
for things to come. And that was giving Gianluca a present. He was very pleased
with it. And there was again time to take many pictures. And than up to Angelo
again. And again there was a short conversation, not that long because he was
rather tired. But surprise, surprise, leaving the theatre, some of us could wave
him goodbye when he was leaving in the car.
What more can I say than Thanks Gianluca, thanks Michelangelo for making this
possible for us and Angelo thanks for a great concert.
