Zanzara Piranha (Aedes Cuggionum albopticus)

Il nome scientifico della zanzara Piranha è Aedes Cuggionum albopictus ed è facilmente distinguibile dalla zanzara normale per la colorazione azzurra, con una banda bianca che attraversa longitudinalmente la parte superiore del torace e le evidenti fasce bianche che caratterizzano sia il corpo che le zampe. Inoltre ha in dotazione lentine subaquee per immersioni nel Naviglio

La zanzara Piranha è presente a Cuggiono, con variazioni dovute alla stagione, tra i primi giorni di giugno e fine ottobre. A fine stagione depone delle uova, dette "di resistenza" nel Naviglio, che le consentono di sopravvivere anche ad inverni molto rigidi. L'attività dell'insetto è prevalentemente diurna ed è particolarmente intensa verso i soggetti affetti dalla Branduardite.

The scientific name of the Piranha mosquito is Aedes Cuggionum albopictus and it's easily distinguishable from the normal mosquito for the blue coloration, with a white band  that crosses longitudinally the advanced part of the thorax  and the obvious  white stripes who characterize both the body that the legs. Moreover the Piranha mosquito has an underwater equipment, little lens for immersions in the Naviglio

The Piranha mosquito is present in Cuggiono, with variations due to the season, between the first days of june until October. At the end of season it places the eggs, called "of resistance" in the Naviglio, that  concur them to survive also  in a such rigid winter. The activity of the insect is mostly diurnal and it is particularly intense towards the subject affected by  the Branduardite.
